Recent Projects

In June 2025, SVCE co-hosted a ribbon-cutting with the City of Morgan Hill, celebrating the completion of the new all-electric Butterfield Fire Station. The Butterfield Fire Station will improve Morgan Hill's emergency response capabilities and public safety. The pollution and emission-free electric equipment will keep the station's air clean for first responders, and the cost-saving and resilient benefits of the solar and battery storage system make this station a significant achievement in advancing Morgan Hill's climate goals. The SVCE Community Grant Program contributed $500,000 to make the fire station the first all-electric facility in Morgan Hill. Peninsula Clean Energy is celebrating San Mateo County passing reach codes, which require new buildings to be built all-electric. Reach codes are one of the most impactful actions cities can take to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Twenty of our member jurisdictions passed reach codes, inspiring the state to incorporate key elements into its own building codes. That means cleaner air, safer buildings, and more EV charging opportunities for residents across California. Congratulations to our community! Wildfire prevention calls for a true partnership between public agencies and the communities we serve. Learn how you can help prevent wildfire and increase the odds of your home surviving one at one of our upcoming 2025 Wildfire Preparedness Workshops. Santa Clara County Fire Department is an all-risk, all-hazard fire department, which means we're able to respond to any emergency that may arise in the communities we serve. Over the span of several weeks, we captured footage and interviews of operations and personnel throughout the organization to visually showcase what makes us unique. 🏆 2025 La Mirada Membership Drive Highlights 🏆 Relive the action from the 2025 La Mirada Membership Drive, a PDGA C-Tier tournament held at La Mirada Regional Park on January 18, 2025. This one-day, one-round, shotgun start event kicked off the 2025 California Disc Golf Series, bringing together passionate disc golfers to compete for trophies, bag tags, and cash payouts. Tournament Highlights: 🥇 1st place winners in each division received a trophy and low-numbered bag tags (1-20). 👕 AM Players got to choose from a shirt, hat, or towel, plus an event sticker and a 2025 LMDGC bag tag. 💰 PRO Players competed for a cash payout. The California Disc Golf Series (CDGS) will feature 10 events throughout the year, culminating in the Throwvember event and the Invitational Championship in December, where the top points earners in each division will battle it out for the title.
