🏆 2025 La Mirada Membership Drive Highlights 🏆 Relive the action from the 2025 La Mirada Membership Drive, a PDGA C-Tier tournament held at La Mirada Regional Park on January 18, 2025. This one-day, one-round, shotgun start event kicked off the 2025 California Disc Golf Series, bringing together passionate disc golfers to compete for trophies, bag tags, and cash payouts. Tournament Highlights: 🥇 1st place winners in each division received a trophy and low-numbered bag tags (1-20). 👕 AM Players got to choose from a shirt, hat, or towel, plus an event sticker and a 2025 LMDGC bag tag. 💰 PRO Players competed for a cash payout. The California Disc Golf Series (CDGS) will feature 10 events throughout the year, culminating in the Throwvember event and the Invitational Championship in December, where the top points earners in each division will battle it out for the title. In October 2024, Silicon Valley Clean Energy celebrated Victory Pass – a solar and battery project that is providing SVCE with 100 megawatt (MW) solar and 100 megawatt hour battery storage developed by Clearway Energy in Riverside County. The South Santa Clara County Fire District and Silicon Valley Clean Energy (SVCE) celebrate the installation of 34 high-efficiency solar panels with smart-grid-capable microinverters and two 8 kilowatt/10 kilowatt-hour batteries at the Masten Fire Station in Gilroy. The solar panels and batteries replace unreliable and polluting backup generators, thus ensuring community resiliency and energy reliability. As the Fire District is dependent on property tax for revenue, the project also saves the District thousands of dollars each year on electricity costs. The Masten Fire Station Project was made possible by a $100,000 grant through SVCE’s Community Resilience Program.
