Fire Captain Dave Cohen grew up in the area and after County Fire responded to a fire at his home, he knew immediately he wanted to become a firefighter. The path to the fire service looks different for everyone. For Captain Cohen, he wanted to gain some life experience first. After graduating college and starting EMT school, he became a volunteer firefighter with us before officially joining the ranks. Meet Firefighter/Engineer Ruri Kobayakawa who grew up in Cupertino and now serves her hometown out of our Cupertino fire station!
